Crystal’s winning photo beautifully captured two things that make Crab Fest so special. The image showcases the colorful new Crab Fest flags installed this year by the City of Kodiak Parks & Recreation Department, adding an extra festive spirit throughout the festival grounds.
It also highlights the beloved Saw Dust Pile, a longtime Crab Fest tradition hosted by the Kodiak Lions Club that has delighted generations of families and remains one of the festival’s most unique and treasured events.
